2007 Ford Fusion Turned 320K Today

Well, to be fair, it was a lot more Mazda than it was Ford. Mazda platform, Mazda engine, Mazda transmission.
I've driven Fords the last 40 years and they've all had high mileage. Long before the Mazda connection.

As noted my 2007 Fusion 2.3 turned the clock over at 320,000 miles today. It still runs great with very little oil loss ( slight weep at rear main ) but it still only uses 6-8 oz of oil in my normal 10K OCI. No sign of engine wear and the trans shifts like new, up and down.
I am amazed at drivers like you who put so many miles on vehicles. Is that because of long commutes to work or just a lot of pleasure driving or some other work related driving. I also have 2007 and 2017 vehicles but only have 108,000 and and 58,000 miles, respectively.

A great shining example of long drains not hurting anything at all.
This car has done really well for you and you've apparently done well by it.

this was our daily driver for several years which included 21 trips to Florida, 1 trip to Maine, and a lot of trips( too many to count ) to south central Missouri where my Mom lives. She'll be 100 on the 19th of July.

How is the rest of vehicle? Does yoir state have inspection or emission that would decommission such great automobile? If not, I would go with 5K OCI using Kirkland oil and replace filter at 10k and try to use Costco gas and use that puppy locally with occasional jaunt to recharge the battery unless it’s your daily commuter.

Great job taking car of a car.

Uh. Why would I use Kirkland oil and change every 5k? 10K has been my normal for 46+years with M1. or Costco gas since I don't shop there (35 miles away). The Fusion still passes emissions, and we drive the 07 any place we need to go. 200 mile trips are common. The car runs great. Notice the pic a couple of post above.

Costco gas is Top Tier and general much cheaper than others even before the cash back. I was under assumption you have one within 10 miles and it would be along your commute or grocery and shopping stops.

Kirkland oil is made by Warren and is highly rated. Project Farm tested it several times and it compares very well to other full synthetic costing over 2x as much.

Project Farm glued boards together and stacked weights on to failure - IMO, that was the most legit test he did …

Love these high mileage stories! Nice work! Im racking up some mileage on my 2016 Toyota Avalon, usually 500 a week but the past month my mileage has dipped. Sitting at 147,000 now with a few long trips on deck. 10,000 mile intervals using 5W30 (sometimes Mobil1, sometimes Pennzoil, once Amsoil). ZERO out of pocket repairs…just fluid changes, tires and brakes.

Keep that Fusion rolling! 500,000 up next!
