Material is starting to transfer from the serpentine belt to the tensioner pulley.

I don't know how old the belt is, but we've had the van for 26 months and 34,000 km (c. 21,000 miles), so it's got at least that on it.

There's no noise (screeching or chirping) from the belt. There are no obvious cracks.

Change it or continue to run it? Thanks!

honestly, the belt and tensioner look fine to me. The pully has a bit of mark on it, but it's not really anything. The "wear" you see (circled) on the belt is the yellow writing from the markings on it, not cords. If the writing on the belt hasn't even worn off and there are no cracks or cords, the belt should be fine.

A belt can fail at any time. If you change it early, you can keep the old belt as spare for the times lady lucky is not on your side.
I thought of that after posting. Not a bad idea. It would be a cheap replacement for me at home, but a real pain if it failed on a trip.
