I have a 2006 Toyota Tundra V-8. Should I keep running conventional 5w30 and change every 3000 miles or switch to synthetic and do oil change every 5000 miles? If so what synthetic?

Welcome to the board. Mobil 1 does very well in Toyotas. Look up Chinee's posts in the used oil analysis forum. That said, the Tundra does not require a synthetic oil. I use a synthetic blend and change every 5k miles.

Appreciate the welcome. Yeah I heard alot of good stuff about Mobil 1. Like amsoil but pretty pricey been using Gastrol 5w30 conventional but 15,000 miles now wondering about long haul down the road. Also use a BG MOA additive seems to work good also.
