2005 Suzuki c90

Bike has about 19,000 miles the guy i bought it from ran 10w40 suzuki oil and filter what has anyone her used. Should i stick with that or use something else.

I always used Rotella in my Suzukis.

Most of the manufacturer branded oil is kinda weak sauce. Id run Rotella and a wix or purolator brand filter.

Mobil1 4T 10w40 and a purolator MC filter.

Rotella 15w40 and a K&N MC oil filter. Get them on Amazon free shipping, no tax and lowest price online. I cleaned them out of the K&N 204.

There are many oils that will work well in this engine, Rotella being one, and none that are clearly superior. And many good filters, including the HiFlo line (HiFlo makes the K&N oil filters).

Be sure the driveshaft spline joints are correctly lubed. I've seen a Suzuki C50 where the splines were dry and ruined. If they aren't in the gear oil, the Honda moly paste does a great job.

For that low mileage 2005 bike, be sure all the fluids have been renewed, even the fork oil.
