This week I am going to change front brake pads, rotors, and brake fluid on 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer OZ rally. The parts are NAPA Adaptive One pads and NAPA premium rotors. Do you have recommendations for brake fluid?
I have changed brake rotors and pads before, so I think I can do this job. What about brake fluid flush? I have never done this before. One advise I have heard is to open the bleeder valve on the brake corner that's farthest from the brake cylinder (I assume right rear), and then pump the brake pedal while adding fluid to reservoir until clean fluid comes out. Then repeat these steps on left rear right front and left front. Does this sound about right? Do I need a helper for this job? Do the wheels need to come off for the bleeding?
