Blackstone said no problems found. Only odd thing was silicon

Oil was unknown Its whatever the Toyota dealer put in it, most likly castrol gtx with a oem filter. I have already changed the air filter and tighten up the intake hoses to be safe.

Please send all comments and ideas Thanks I am now running castrol syntec blend and a bosch filter, and new fram air filter. Milage on engine at oil change was 20,600 at oil changed

Looks like a synthetic. My guess is Synpower or Napa Synthetic. Was the oil filter a napa filter?

Nope it was a Toyota filter

Looks like GTX to me. Usually GTX has sodium.

If it is GTX, it has an impressive Calcium number.

The Car calls for 5w30, the only reason I thought it might be gtx is that the dealer uses it for there changes but this is the oil that was in the car when I bought it so I am not sure, Should I be worryed about the silicon ppm?

Wear numbers are good, but Silicon is very high - hopefully you've fixed that.

Could be one of several oils, but I agree it looks the most like Synpower, but if it was a 'bulk oil change', it's most likely GTX.

We have the mileage on the engine at the time of the sample ..but do we have the mileage on the oil? (did I miss it?). It's hard to reference the numbers without out it. Fe looks low for any mileage ..but if correct, Al is high. Flash point surely shows some fuel thing ...but again, there's no corresponding Fe ..but it could be due to sampling at the wrong time.

I am hoping the dealership change the oil when the car was put on the lot but we know how they can be some times if they did the oil would have about 4000 miles on it, about the fuel I drove the car to the parts store down the street before the change so that is where I think the little amount of fuel came from, as for the silicon I changed the air filter so I hope thats the prob anything else that would make it hi othere then a dirty filter? dont some oils have silicon in them? also does the moly seem low?

Some oils do use Silicon, but it is at very, very low amounts, not 25 - that's dirt.

GTX doesn't use moly in it's add-pack, so no, moly isn't low.....
