My wife has this vehicle and is sure she had many OnStar minutes left in her account when the battery went dead (long story, but I has blamed). and now the minutes are gone and when you call OnStar they say no minutes left. Being a computer guy for a huge computer company I find it difficult to believe that the minutes are stored only in my vehicle and they are stored in volitle memory (not flash). Someone said she can go back to the dealer and they can fix this. I do not believe it.

Ideas?

As to the dead battery, the car has a bug, if you go in through the passenger door to pull a CD out of the CD player, turn on the key (headlights go on as they are set to AUTO), pull the CD, turn off the key and remove, expecting the headlight to go out in a minute, they never do. If I had done this same scenario but entered through the drivers side door it would not have been a problem. But when entering my garage from house, the passenger door was closest.
