Good one, Drew..

Yes the 4Runner came with a V8 although they are dropping the V8 option for this new model year. Well that is what Motor Trend said.

Let me put on my Soccer Holagon Hat.......BLAH BLAH look at high that iron is M1 cause's high iron drool drool........LOL Just another good Toyota UOA with M1 be hard pressed to find a properly working Toyota that does not like M1 in the current engine line up!Hence the reason I so often recommend M1 over Amsoil or other expensive synthetics in Toyotas! It just does not make any sense with UOA like this from OTC oil. Almost any oil would do this in this application though! The only oil I have seen that Toyota's just do not prefer is Scahffers! Schaffers always produces wear number 2X-3X times higher then M1 in Toyota's not that it matters much with numbers like this though!

best part of the whole deal was that Walmart gave a $15 gift card for each 5 qt bottle you bought at $20. So I paid $1 per qt for this stuff. Im currently out as it has been run in both vehicles in my house.

My current stash is some PP 5w30. After thats up..its back to M1 0w3o

*grumble* Why can't I ever find great deals like that? If I could get M1 for $1/quart, I'd fill my closet with the stuff. :)

Nice, Ive been waiting for this one. Id like to try Amsoil or other such oil, but cant for the life of me justify it with results like this. I have some EP to put in for next time.

We own 3 Toyota vehicles: a 14 year old Camry V-6, 03 V-8 Tundra and an 08 2.7L Tacoma. All on Mobil-1. 245,000, 110,000 and 30,000 miles respectfully. The older 2 are out of powertrain warranty with 7,500 OCI (give or take). But on the little 2.7, I change every 5,000 miles for warranty reasons. All Blackstone reports on the older two have always been excellent.
I'm using the 0w30 on the little 4-cyl., but have yet to have an analysis done on it.
To see the above report on a Toyota product using this oil is very encouraging, yet hardly surprising, to me. Certainly a great analysis!
Thanks, casper, for posting it.

Cant wait to get back to the 0w30 in the 4runner. Seems like it will work no matter what I do with it and no matter what the conditions. Now to just blow through the 20qts of PP I have in the garage.

I figure I'll run this for 8K and see how it goes from there. at 5K and a TBN of 4.1 left, it would seem that it should have zero problems getting to 8K
