2004 GM - Drop pan and refill with Dex III or VI?

I plan on dropping the pan on my 2004 Canyon and changing the filter. Since I am only going to be replacing about 5 qts of the fluid, should I start the switch to Dex VI or just use Dex III? I typically do the change every 30-50k.

The truck has 30k on it now, and the fluid is clean and the transmission operates flawlessly.

I changed out my 02 Sierra from D3 to D6 earlier this year for it's 100k change and I haven't noticed any ill side effects from switching. Plus you get a better product with the D6 IMO.

Dex VI, its a better ATF even if your vehicle does not require it.

DexVI...drop pan and do a cooler line exchange. The DexVI will go 50-70k no problems.

Dex V1 since Dex 111 is no longer made. And Dex V1 is far Superior over Dex 111.

I do 30k transmission changes in my truck that uses Dex VI. This is the "extreme/severe" service recommendation. Regular is 50k. I don't feel comfortable going 50k with the Florida heat playing a factor.
