Have a 2003 Dodge Durango rt 5.9L with 89,000 miles. Just bought used to tow behind motorhome. Book calls for 10w30 oil. Any recommendations on oil brand? Forst Dodge so don't know if any brands are preferred? Any experience?

Thanks,

Tim

Any good oil will do, 5w30 will also work. Brand is fairly irrelevant as long as its a good product. I'd recommend Mobil 1, Pennzoil (yellow bottle if you want conventional, ultra if not), or Valvoline MaxLife if you want a high-mileage oil. But it just REALLY doesn't matter.

Thanks again 440Magnum. Book says 5w30 for 4.7L and 10w30 for the 5.9L. Truck is great. Appreciate the advice.

Read the manual and find an oil that meets the specs.Any of the big names oils will be a good choice.

I had a dakota rt a few years back i remember using Pennzoil Conventional 10w30 because after i sold it i had a stash of it leftover. I loved my 5.9

How bout Pennzoil Conventional 10w30 or Quaker State Conventional 10w30
