Im having issues with my cooling system?

My car goes up to normal temp.

When I have my climate control on all the way hot and the fan blowing to the window the AC shows the light on as if I pressed it and it blows cold air.

The AC button lights off when I make the fan blow to my feet or anytoher spot that isnt the top window.

Theres no coolant leaks, tstat was replaced, and ive noticed that when I accelerate and goes high on the RPMs it starts blowing hot air for a bit then when I drive at a lower rpm it blows cold again.

The radiator fans dont turn on.??

Any help

01 Civic EX former owner, still maintainer here. AC light going on in defrost mode, whether upper only or upper/lower is normal. After activated, you must press button AC green light to shut AC off. So that part sounds normal.

As for heat(er) issue sounds similar to when head gasket was going/gone on 01 EX. But, also possible air in system. Was t'stat installed with jiggle pin at top most position? If not that could cause or contribute to air bound issue. Have you looked at coolant recovery tank. Is it looking very high, head gasket symptom and temp gauge read normal. Is it low? Possible radiator or coolant leak issue.

Yeah man, tstat was installed in the shop, but ill double check again today. And I do press the AC light and it wont turn off. Later on today ima double check again. Thanks.for the advice! Ill make sure to look at what you mentioned, but can it really be a head gasket problem?

Try burping the air out of the cooling system before you do anything. Air in a honda cooling system will make it do all kinds of crazy things. Try using one of these:

Head gasket issue had similar temp gauge normal reading, heater blowing hot sometimes, cool others even with heat max'd. Iirc, blew cool at idle. But in my case, coolant also began to bubble out of recovery tank. T'stat jiggle pin in top position is important for keeping system from air bound situation.

AC green light should go off at least when out of defrost mode, and then manually deactivated using button. Will go back on again if defrost activated.

"When I have my climate control on all the way hot and the fan blowing to the window the AC shows the light on "

When you use the defrost in that car the AC is turned on.

Now the cold air could be from a thermostat stuck open. Then again the car might not be warmed up either. Our 01 Civic took forever to warm up (miles).
