This is the same spec as what’s available at the dealer?

Wish I had known Aisin made NS-2 compatible fluid and RA sold it cheaper than parts store Valvoline CVT.

I use it regularly in our 05 sienna. It seems to work exactly like T-IV or 3309, both of which I've used as well. Splash and fills regularly.

I've had years of experience with this old, NS-2, Nissan CVT application. My favorite fluid is Amsoil CVT (cheaper than Nissan and the higher viscosity holds up better when overheated) but I've had good results with several aftermarket CVTF as well as Valvoline Maxlife ATF in this CVT application.

For a Toyota T-IV application I would expect the same kind of results. Amsoil or other quality fluids (Red Line, HPL, Motul...) will perform with excellence but a typical "multi" (Castrol, Valvoline, Mobil...) will be just fine.

"Formulated for". Always confusion on Asian licensing, this is not licensed fluid but is compatible with T-IV fluid.

T-IV isn't all that special either.
T-IV is basically Dexron III with a friction modifier.

This is why many officially licensed Dexron VI (backwards compatible to Dexron III) also say suitable for T-IV such as the O'reilly's Dexron VI.
