Upon second look I think you are OK.
Potassium dropped by more than 1/2 but you can sure see the effect coolant has on the bearings.
I wonder how Blackstone calculates coolant %?

I was trying to figure out just that, and I thought it looked similar to sodium if you were to double it and move the decimal over. Thats exactly what it is. Sodium x 0.002 So 713ppm would become 1.426 round it up and you get 1.43, which is exactly what it states on the report.

Listen. If you have a 3.1/3.4, you are going to have an intake gasket leak. You will have this happen between 80k miles and 130k miles. It is inevitable. Unavoidable. It will happen. Sometimes they leak/squirt out and you can see it every time you rev the engine from under the hood. Other times... you get screwed and it mingles with your oil making... well, we all know what they make.

Yes, but I put new gaskets in it..about 3600 miles and two changes prior to this sample. And the ones I pulled out were date coded for late 06, so somewhere during 07, probably, it got its first set.

Well, I was just stating that in general.

Dang, that sucks. Do you think it was a mechanical error? We done quite a few back at the garage. I mean, I've even owned one, a 1997 Lumina 3.1 V6. That engine would take WOT all the time... they are tough in that respect.

The gaskets are part intake/part head gasket. Stick with the 4.6 ;-) No, that's not helpful, just enlightening the situation.

Im not even sure if its actually leaking. It could all be leftovers. Ill make a determination later if its still showing up. I am sticking with my 4.6, this is my Grandparent's minivan.
