This is good advice , a cracked manifold can make a ticking noise . Piston slap becomes a bit more noticable when you rev it a bit (in neutral) .
Leakyseals , the OP already said he tried an additive . While for some mechanic in a bottle/can seems to be the answer in reality sometimes you actually have to do a repair to really fix it . Sure , worth a try but I don't put much faith in it if the vehical has been maintained .
Interesting part about this, From a cold start within 5-10 seconds it starts chattering. I wait about 3 min then it goes quiet. I will look at the manifold gaskets tommorow and check the oil again,It was clean about a week about last time i check.
