Hi guys...this car is in the shop for a good going over including a trans service, brake check, thermostat replacement, etc. I picked it up for my sister and am trying to get everything flushed (including the power steering...fluid looks like junk...turkey basting and replacing with Redline PS fluid...will repeat 3-4 times). I think a cooling flush would be a good idea. The LIM was replaced at a GM dealership about 15,000 miles ago (car has 87K). I have no idea if the dealer flushed the system when they performed that repair or not. It's hard to tell the condition of the antifreeze what condition it's in and my head is spinning from trying to get advice from reading the posts here. A local shop will flush and refill the system with "all makes all models" antifreeze (DexCool would be extra!). I don't know what the implications with compatibility is with this stuff (don't know much about it, frankly). Is this stuff OK for this and do these flush machines do a good job? I don't want to spend money for something that won't work or might make things worse...appreciate any advice.
