I wanted to ask a question about 2 stroke oil. When you have a lower flash point in your premix oil doesn't that mean that it will burn faster & cleaner or do you want a higher flash point in a 2 stroke oil?

I would think lower flash point.
Lower Flash Point = cooler running temps and cleaner burn is what I thought but I need some expert advice MR. Newton! I have a guy at a shop telling me that the higher flash point the better the burn and that at lower flash point the oil in the gas will start to vaporize and leave more deposits on the piston and rings.
The FP in two cycle oils in more about shipping handling and storage hazards then it is performance. Once it's mixed into gasoline what do you think happens to the FP? Exposed to 1200f combustion temps AND mixed with gasoline, does a 10-20 deg difference make any difference.
The only real way to make the oil 'hang around longer' is either to run more of it in the ratio, or use oil that's blended with higher molecular weight stock, mineral vegetable or syn, doesn't matter. Usually marketed as race oil.

One would assume that the more resistant the oil is to burning, (higher flash point) the better it will lubricate. Oil in general has a pretty high flash point. It takes a lot of heat to fire it up. Once mixed with gasoline, the combined mixture will take on the flash point of the most volatile component of combination. That would be the gasoline. Flash point of two stroke oil is of very little significance in real world applications.
