Since I have been using 100/1 mix in my Moto Guzzi motorcycle, oil consumption has gone to zero. I think a little upper cylinder lube is what most air cooled engines need. The bike also is also getting an average of 2 miles per gallon better mileage. I recorded my best mileage ever (59) with TCW3 oil mixed with the gas.

I agree that in a pinch, it works great.
Long term Id thin it down, but in basic lawn equipment it seems to be OK.
For UCL, etc., IMo there are better adds, but the simplicity, especially if youre using a 100:1 TCW3 ashless type oil is hard to beat...
