Any TC rated oil will work. Citgo Sea and snow is Great, as well as Quicksilver, but make sure you get the Quicksilver oil rated for motorcycles. Do not use the TCW 3 oil. It leaves hard carbon behind in the Polaris. I ve had rings froze solid, from using "boat oil". It does not have engine oil, other than the premix, it does have a inline filter in the oil injection line. I ussaully loop the oil injection and run pre-mix in mine. Although I never seen a oil pump fail on any Polaris quads. If you let it sit, gravity will fill the crankcase with oil, and make alot of smoke upon start up. There is transmission fluid. Polaris sells their synthetic AGL or some confusing name, they like to come up with some inventive names for their fluids to keep you from finding a alternate, its about 14 bucks a quart. That said, Synthetic ATF fluid ATF+4, same stuff Dodge uses works fine. The transmission is nothing but a gearbox, simlar to a transfer case. DO NOT use gear oil in it or anything thick. There is a silent chain in there and anything thick stretches it and its about a 8 hour job to replace. Any questions let me know. I own 13 of them.
