Check out Wheelers Offroad. THey make a reapir kit that includes the spring that most freq. breaks plus and additional leaf to spread out the load better. So you get 4 leasf and the needed hardware int he kit. So your old three leaf set up will now have 4 leafs on each side. You reuse the old mainload leaf and the leaf with the busching in it with the rounded eye.
I used this kit to repair my Dads 1995.5 Tacoma that had one broken leaf on the drivers side. It was well made and the price was right. THe kit was $165+shipping for a total of $195.They also offer 4 and 5 leaf complete leaf spring packages to replace the old leaf springs. Their sets cost about 1/2 the price of OEM and are redesigned to improve ride,handeling,load carying ability and to prevent future breakage. They also offer HD front coil springs for about 1/3-1/4 the price of OEM. Not only are they slightly HD in case you want to install a winch or snow plow they are also progressive rate so they are not overly stiff if you remain stock!
Leaf Springs for Tacoma were common from 1995.5-1997. After 1997 Toyota made the leaf springs a 4 leaf system and then a 5 leaf system. THey also lengthened them after 1997. The front coil spring's interchange from 1995.5 up to present. The only difference in OEM front coils is wether they are 2WD or 4WD. THe V6 coil springs have a stiffer spring rate but are the same size.
