Can anyone help me the wires were cut on the power window switch need to install a new one but do not know were the wires go. There are 5 wires going to the switch, I just need to know how what color goes where. Purchased a Hayes manual no help.The car is only a 2 window switch .this is 1985 Oldsmobile.

Delta 88 and the Haynes manual only has a 4 window drawing and this car only has 2 windows
I am doing this for a friend of my wife and the wires were cut off at the switch and I cannot see the wire colors and I am not sure about GM models any help would be great.

Factory service manual shows 6 wires going to the driver’s window switch on two door Cutlass.
Pins on window switch are marked in letters “A” to “F”.
I do not have a scanner see if this helps.
A = Pink (power )
B = Blue – With White stripe (to RH switch)
C = Tan (to RH switch)
D = Blue (to LH window motor)
E = Tan (to LH window motor)
F = Black (ground)

Need some help the wires from the door to the switch are.
1. Blue with white stripe
2. Pink
3. Black
4. Solid Blue
5. Blue with Black Stripe
6. Tan
When I connect the wires it will not work properly any suggestions please.

My service manual is for a 1996 Cutlass.
If your window switch pins are marked with “numbers (1,2,3,4,5,6)” instead of “letters (A,B,C,D,E,F) my manual is wrong for your car.
If you have the drivers side window working that only leaves “2” wires that go to the passenger side switch. These “2” wires will NOT be BLACK or PINK.
The “2” wires going to the passenger side in my manual are wires “B” and “C”.
You could have the drivers side switch wired correctly and still have a bad Passenger side switch or motor.

Thanks for all of you help my switch is A B C D E F. I have had the passenger side go up and down but when I hooked all of the wires up they would not work properly I will check the switch out I never thought it would be bad again thanks.

Let me try again my glaucoma is giving me fits.
Pins at drivers side window switch:
Pin A=Pink 12v
Pin F=Ground
Pin D=Dark Blue wire goes to drivers side window motor pin (B).
Pin E=Brown or Dark Brown wire goes to drivers side window motor pin (A).
Pin B=Blue with a White stripe wire goes to passenger side window switch pin (A). Probably your light blue with black stripe.
Pin C=Tan wire goes to the passengers side window switch pin (C).
If this does not work PM me a mailing address and I will mail you a color copy.
