1985 Lincoln Town Car crash barrier

Inspired to post by another thread - thought some might find this funny in a fatalistic sort of way. This is a gas station in Cayce SC. There is a Y in the road caused by a redesign a few years back - and people keep missing their turn and crash into the gas station. One crash took out all their pumps and shut them down for a while. They have installed an old Lincoln town car limo for a barricade.

Here's a view from Google street view showing what it looks like. Perhaps adding some chevron signs in the median might clue drivers into the fact that this road curves sharply to the right.

There's a gas station in Colorado (pretty sure) at the base of a hill which installed a row of 6 or 8, 12 foot tall, reinforced concrete sculptures as crash protectors. They bulge in the middle so if one gets hit it'll topple slightly and contact the one next to it. This spreads the force.

I looked into that for my driveway. They're a lot more expensive than junk cars.
