1984 Vette Power Steering Pulley

Hey guys.
I wanted to see if someone could help a novice attack a problem. On my vette, it has a screaming whine under the hood that I attribute to the power steering area.
I dont know if maybe the power steering pulley could be making that kind of noise? Someone told me there is a bearing in there that could be bad, but I am not sure.
Any ideas?

Can you use a short length of garden hose to pinpoint the noise? The noise could be from many things.

I once had an old belt squeal. It was otherwise a healthy belt. It simply started squealing from age.

Thats a good idea. Let me go try and see. Its kind of hard especially because the motor is very noisy in and of itself

I believe another technique is to squirt water at different points until the squealing goes away.
