A neighbor of ours has recently been widowed. She is currently going through probate, and when that's done, she wants to get rid of some things. One is a 1971 Triumph TR-6. I don't want it, but I want to make sure that she doesn't just give it away, either, unless she does it with her eyes open. I told her that I would do some research for her, and that she shouldn't make any commitments until she finds out what it's really worth.
I don't know the mileage, but I assume it's all original including the paint. I know her husband owned it for at least 20 years, and it wasn't driven a whole lot during that time. I took a quick glance at ebay and saw that they seem to be selling from around $6500 to a whole lot more.
Also, what do I need to find out to help her figure an approximate value of this car?
