THE EXPERIENCE I AM OF HAVE OF THIS OUTLET IS QUITE THE DIFFERENCE FROM THE MR PRESCOTT. AFTER THE USINGS OF THIS OUTLET MY STANARD 55 CENTIMETER MAGMAVOX COLOR TV UNITS WAS CONVERT FROM STANDARD DEFEMISSION CATHODE RAY TUBE MODEL INTO NEW 300 CM LIQID CRISTAL UNITS, SIMPLY BY CHANGE OUTLET. I SAVE OVER 500 HAND MONEY BY NOT HAVE TO BUY NEW COLOR TV OR ANTINA MAST! THANK

Since equipping my bedroom with this Wattgate 381, I've experienced an erection lasting WAY longer than four hours. Truly this is a multi use product. Must stop the review now... blood is rushing....from my skull......feeling faint....

I used my first Wattgate 381 to plug in my alarm clock, and I no longer toss and turn with worry that my alarm won't ring, and there is a richness of sound from the AM tuner that is remarkable. We bought 4 more, great price break, before Christmas, plugged in our tree, and it sparkles like never before. We gave one as a gift to my audiophile brother-in-law, who is always anxious that a cryogenically induced failure will damage his expensive equipment, and our generosity left him, "speechless".

I have nothing but praises for this Wattgate Socket.

I did not install it in the wall as most probably do, but laid it out on the floor so I and my friends could admire its gold plating. I do not have children but my Miniature Schnauzer seems awfully scared by its wonderous beauty. He will not go near it, and that is good.
I once dropped a piece of tinfoil on it and its emissions lit up the room. The energy it released was such a powerful, spiritual event! I have tried several times since and have yet to observe the event with the same intensity.

Such a performer, this Wattgate!

I just replaced every receptacle in my house with these, I cant believe how much better everything works, I especially notice a difference in the tone of the hum in my fish tank, and I get alot more bass in the beeper on the alarm on my microwave oven!!! I have also noticed that my vacuum cleaner has better midrange now. My friends are impressed!!!!

My favoite one-liner is one that Stevie mentioned above:
"...and there is a richness of sound from the AM tuner that is remarkable."

OMG, I wonder if I can get standard 99 cent outlets at Home Depot and spray paint all the metal gold and put them on ebay for 50 bucks. That's only one third the price!

I would imagine that the people that buy these are the same ones that spend more on their turntable than most people spend on their vehicles.

I'd put my older Pioneer Silver setup up against any of the new 'All In One' units out there - in a whole different world than the plastic disposable equipment made today.

Pioneer SA-9800 amp
Pioneer TX-9500 II Tuner
Pioneer SG-9800 EQ
Pioneer CT-F9191 Cassette Deck

Powering a set of Realistic Mach One's (the earlier version 4024-A's)
My Rotel turntable and Sony CD/SACD/DVD-A player doesn't quite match but still decent.

I got a Pioneer Silver head that powers my garage setup. And a Kenwood 5-disc changer for CDs, too. The head was $5 at a garage sale and the changer was $12 at goodwill. The speakers are a set of cheap aiwas that a friend gave me.

...All I'm missing is the proper power plug.

Was that left over from a previous April Fools day? Or is that product for real? I know the reviews are tongue in check but is the product real??

Can run three phase equipment with it, like 440 volt 10 hp 3ph 40 amp Baxter Whitney 52" woodworking planer. Just jammed the 10 gauge wires into holes

I like seperate componets all of my gear is pre 1990 and all super high end! I do like all in one units for one thing and one thing only! THey work great for home theater because I do not want a rack sitting next tot he big screen for the dog to chew on! A nice Harmon Kardon all in one 100-200RMS watt all in one with a 100-200 Watt sub is enough to make you feel like you are at the theater if you have some stale popcorn on hand with fake butter! It sits on top of the tv and they often have a romote then even my 7 years olds can use!But I still like records to CD's for fidelity. I have a combo on solid state and tubed amps.

Having some high end tube equipment from the 50s-60s, I know there are all kinds of companies that pawn off stuff like this because there are actually people who will buy it. My biggest laugh would be the companies that wire your house to condition the electricy going into your audio equipment.
First, most of the electricity inside your amp is DC, and second, who conditions the electricity between the power plant and your house?

Sorry John - no offense. There are exceptions to the 'All In One' systems, but 95% of them - well, you know. They must use a different scale these days to rate power output. My old SA-9800 amp is only rated at 120 wpc, but that's continuous average 8-ohm output, not 1 or 2 ohm peak. That's back when the wattage ratings were different - those horses were Clydesdales, not like the 1000-watt plastic boxes with flimsy little speakers with a 6" sub that you see at X-Mart.

Pioneer isn't exactly Super High-End, but a lot of the better vintage equipment have a completely different sound from most of what is made these days.

I actually (ashamed to admit) use an early 90's Pioneer Pro-Logic receiver (VSX-D1S) in my HT setup - suprisingly it has a REAL transformer in it - and heavy too. Sure it's only Pro-Logic, but sure does sound good - even in simple Stereo mode.

Oh well, maybe one day i'll upgrade. Not sure about the gold-plated power outlet though.

I've heard that the reason the early Japanese stereo receivers (Pioneer, Panasonic, etc) were so good was because they copied the high end American companies like McIntosh Labs. Now everybody wants everything cheap and cheaper, so you get what you pay for.

Believing a cheap stereo's wattage claims is like believing political campaign promises.

And kids these days just don't seem to give a s*** about fidelity. They all walk around listening to overly compressed 128kbps mp3 tracks with 2 dollar earbuds. And most modern music is mastered so frickin' LOUD that you lose all the dynamic range anyway. Don't even get me started.

You must have loved the latest metallica album.

They change the "reviews" every day, I guess. Here are a couple from a few days ago at another forum:
"The one in the bathroom - !WOW!. My wife has been plugging her hairdryer into it and her hair is softer than ever and the gray is gone! Also - she has gone from a B cup to a DD!!"
And:
In other words, this socket is pretty much useless without the Wattgate circuit breaker panel for $6000 and $4000 triple gold plated ground rods. Its the absolute only way to get the value out of these sockets.
Hilarious!!

It even made it to Amazon. Check out some of their "reviews"!!
