No I tried all of their fe stock
That can be the only explanation.
It could be your adapters threads are not cut deep enough causing the interference fit.

Sorry, those aren’t yours for testing. That’s all I see. All of them tested, weren’t the boxes sealed? I wouldn’t want someone test threading into my oil filter, and think of it first.
FE’s have a history of badly cut threads. Although it’s hard to believe every one on the shelf would.
It fits the titanium, what's the problem?

It’s messing with other peoples filters, and screwing the adapter in the thread moves particles around. It’s just wrong. All Ultra boxes are sealed when the store gets them, so others probably have been in there before too. Big issue at walmart with this messing with oil filters in the boxes.
I was wanting one with backed media but I'm seeing the titanium may have it again so I'll go with that.
That is some pearl clutching there for something that probably 99% of people here have already done fingering an oil filter and take them out of the box a time or two in their lives. I know I have comparing across a couple brands before.
I always take them out of the box to inspect for problems before I purchase.
