Kentucky to the California Coast and back. We rode the million dollar highway, loneliest road in America, monument valley, RT66 from near flagstaff to Oatman, the Sante Fe trail, and a short section of a sadly foggy California 1. Almost 10k miles on my 2024 790 ADV in 4 Months. It was 100% reliable and very comfortable doing 4-600 miles a day.

Ouray, Colorado looks awesome in that mountain landscape. Those little windscreens on your bikes are interesting. Are they even useful at that size? You ripped down the road with that many daily miles. Did you camp or do hotels? Nice to have a reliable trip. Great experience.

The windscreens do a fair job actually. We covered a lot of miles, but rode basically from sunrise to dark most days and the west is wide open with 70-75mph speed limits so it wasn’t bad.

We brought camping gear but ended up in Hotels every night as it was in the 40s most nights and hotels are cheap split 3 ways. They also generally have breakfast included.

Good pictures and adventure. I can't wait for the kids to be grown and out of the house so I can do such as this.

I’m very fortunate to have a wife who took our kids with her to Texas to visit her childhood friends. Certainly missed the her and the kids! I don’t think I could be gone much longer until they are grown.

I was surprised my butt isn’t even sore! Added a Ventilated seat cover on the 790 and it’s awesome for comfort!

You just got to break it in...your butt that is ;-) I had a gel seat on my Suzuki SV1000S that I had the longest trips on. My Buell xb12xt had a great seat from the start. Neither of my current bikes have great seats, but neither take me touring like I used to. My MG has had one 600+ mile day, but I'm sure the Vit hasn't gone over 200 in a day.

Our 6 year old daughter is autistic. I've gone away for a week or more at a time on a couple of occasions, but once it gets past about day 4, she starts having meltdowns wanting daddy home.
