I stopped by yesterday and here is what I found:

Valvoline conventional $15 a jug (!!!)
Maxlife $17 a jug
GTX $14.50 a jug
Quaker State $12 a jug
Motorcraft $12.50 a jug
Havoline $12.50 a jug
Pennzoil conventional $14 a jug
ST Dino $11 a jug
Mobil 5000 $11 a jug

At those prices (which are the same here) I'd be buying the Havoline, Quaker State or Mobil 5000.

All excellent oils at a everyday price.

A local Wal-Mart has lots of Pennzoil High Mileage 5 qt jugs in 5W30 and 10W30 flavors for $10 in the clearance section. The amusing thing is that the same product is $16 in the oil aisle. I was tempted to load up, but I don't use this oil.

Picked up a few jugs of the Mobil 5000 last week. The whole Mobil section was filled with it as the Mobil 1 is still MIA around here.

I just figured out you americans call Walmart, Walmart for some reason! lol.

Anyway, those prices seem right. Drove down to Seattle last week and they were roughly the same..

$17 for maxlife 5qt!

Makes me feel even worse now, Yesterday I stopped into advance to pick up a couple pureone filters and since I didn't want to deal with the walmart zoo I grabbed two 4qt jugs at $20 each! Remembering the last time I got it from walmart it was $23 for 5qt.

Walmart was the fictional amusement park in National Lampoon's "Family Vacation" movie.

Wall Marts are a strange experience so there you go.
