Looking forward to it and hoping it's not worse than The Lost World, which I consider so far the weakest in the series.

Jurassic Park, A
The Lost World, C
Jurassic Park 3, B
Jurassic World, ?

Domesticated raptors?

+1

Last week I drove up to the Natural History Museum of Utah in SLC. I was especially fascinated by the Utahraptor, which at 25 feet long and up to 2,000 pounds heavy, was much larger and more dangerous than the now famous velociraptor. That visit did whet my appetite for the movie.

Ah, brings back fond memories of the guy getting eaten in the portajohn....

Spoiler alert,
They'll go to an island where dinosaurs live. Humans will [censored] them off, the dinosaurs will chase them and all he'll will break loose. Humans will miraculously escape all the chaos to live and tell their story....
See I just saved you guys money ....hehehehe

Great one liner by Malcolm/Goldblum when the layer runs for the john: "You gotta go when you gotta go." I know tacky and tasteless.

Funny anecdote, the rightsholders forbid running onscreen graphics like the network "bug" on tv during "Jurassic" movies.

In Toy Story or Jurassic Park ?

The line appears in:

Jurassic Park, 1993
Objects in the Rear View Mirror May Appear Closer than They Are, Meat Loaf (written by Jim Steinman), 1994
Toy Story 2, 1999
Transformers: Dark of the Moon, 2011

It's a great movie meme, and one that most people recognize.

Malcolm, Goldblum's character, is the stand-in for the audience -- the one who reacts the way audience members feel they would, and who gets to say the lines they imagine they themselves would come up with in a such a dangerous situation. See Richard Dreyfuss's shark expert, Hooper, in "Jaws."

I'm interested in the new film. Chris Pratt has come a long way as an actor since his days on "Everwood" and that weird sitcom, what was it, "Parks and Recreation"? He might be able to handle the lead in a new, period-set Indiana Jones film!

I'd think that would be a logical development, an attempt by the JW cloners to produce raptors that they can work with. Like a German shepherd attack dog, only not furry.

Maybe I'm a little too cynical, and they'll work his relationship with the raptors into the story very smartly. I have my doubts, though, and feel like it'll end up being a little cheesy.

For me, the raptors were one of the most thrilling and threatening characters in the original Jurassic Park. If they're toned down or made to be subservient laptors, and not totally bad [censored], then I'll be disappointed.

I'm really hoping to be pleasantly surprised, but I just have a feeling that this movie will be a beautifully made stinker.
