both my cars say 5/20 oil perfered but you can run 5w30 or 10/30 depending on the tempeature.i still know where to get ultra for 21` dollars a jug but all they have is the 10/30 left.would it be worth getting? santafe has a 3.3 v6 sonata a 2.4.

Yea your walmart has it. six jug the last time i was there. i don't think you would notice much of a difference . i would use it.

If you only lived in my area. 5w20 PU flavor is still pretty abundant in my local WM's.

You should fine running that from spring-summer-fall season.

Since Wal Mart stopped stocking the Ultra I've been stopping at every Wal Mart I see and snapping up the remaining stuff on the clearance shelf in 5W30. There is quite a bit of 10W30 (and 5W20) which I've not purchased. I guess it would be OK for the summer for the 'ol minivan...not sure if I'd run it in my Suzuki (?). I may have to reconsider adding some of the 10W30...wonder if I could use the 5W20 in the Suzuki (it calls for 5W30).

Agree.

You can also run the 30 weight stuff in the summer and the 5W-20 in Florida's mild winters.

Wait 'till the cold temps arrive to do this.

Seeing how Ultra is like PP and is on the thin side of the 30wt oils. Why couldn't you run it all year?

I was running PU 10-w30 year round for the last two years. No problems here. Doesn't get too cold here, 20's and maybe high teens a few mornings. Didn't notice a slow crank or anything. Have been watching the sales and decided to go to syntec for same or less money for now. Ultra might be harder to source now, so glad I found some alternates and have some stash. Need to pick up some more BC before sales change again.
