1 Week Review - 2025 Toyota Tacoma Hybrid Limited

Why is Honda's transition from gas to hybrid to EV so much smoother than the Toyota's ? Is Honda doing something wrong to get that smoothness . Every reviewer says the same thing . I drove both . And they are spot on .
The gas-hybrid-gas transition differences are insignificant...Toyota's e-CVT is far, far better than Honda's CVT. Honda kit is fantastic, but #2.

Tacoma got a beard trim. The plastic is pretty easy to work with. I removed a 1/2” strip pretty much in a middle stripe across the whole thing, and then placed the lower half in front of the upper. It took a little trimming to get it to set in front/back. Tacked it up in place to get the holes and rivets right for the sides. Coated it in a little bed liner spray to hide the rivets and increase uniformity. It looked good without the paint, but “less is more.” Yes, it pretty much covers the tow hooks. However, in 15 years I haven’t used front hooks, and in 3 months I have absolutely already dug the thing into the ground. Data wins.

I've been sniffing around on the new Tacoma and 4Runner. Might wait until the 26 models are out. Not sure but I'm not too convinced on the hybrid mechanics yet on the Tacoma, I understand it's more of a around town electric motor boost. Is that the case? Thanks in advance
