I buy about anything with the Sony name on it.
I got this for $1 one day at a thrift store.

I would think that you can't pick up anything on TV bands anymore on analog radios since TV went digital, right?
Right. The sound channel of analog stations was an FM signal that could be received by modifying the first stage of an FM radio to tune through TV frequencies. Now TV sound is part of the digital stream.

The weather transmitters around 162.5 MHz are still analog though.

How does AM come through ?
What do you get on the TV bands?
Not too bad. I mostly use it for FM to listen to WETS public radio in my living room.
The TVL band gets stations, but not the TVH weather band.

I found this one at the Habitat Restore a year or so ago, think I paid 3 bucks. It hangs in the garage, reception is OK. Nothing on the TV bands - I thought they sold those frequencies to the celular carriers - or do I have my spectrum off?

I believe it was much of the UHF TV bands that were sold off. These multi band radios with TV sound were for the VHF channels. They're digital for some years, as well as what's left of UHF, so these radios will no longer work for that.

Love these old multi band radios!

I remember drooling over what was either a Sony ES or Sony Esprit stereo power amplifier in the early 80s. Maybe around 82 or 83. But it was VERY expensive!
