Personally I am not sold on the "thin is in" craze, especially when we are talking about forced induction.
I kind of agree, but also disagree too. lol During the week commuting to work I like to see how good of MPG's I can get since I dont flog on the car in rush hour traffic. Now, on the otherhand, when I head to the roadcourse and get 8mpg, I dont care because I bought the car for a commuter and a weekend fun car. I try to save money during the week to offset the cost of the weekend fun.
Now if he wants to put in 0w20, maybe he does not romp on the car much at all. I know alot of owners that bought their cars when fuel was in the $2.25 a gallon range and now they are not beating on their cars as much due to the $4.00 - $5.00 a gallon it is now. I for one, drive close to 20k miles a year, and fuel cost add up quickly. I can afford the as hikes, but alot of people are not able to and should maybe move on to a better economy car.
I like the car because I can get 30 mpg if I really tried, or I can have a 160mph, 250hp, 8mpg, roadcourse Neon for the weekend.
