Hi all need some advice
I just changed the power steering fluid in My 07 GC crd vehicle has done 280,000k,s
I used a Penrite product PAS fluid that had MS-5931 and MS9462 ratings
I couldn't find anything locally that has the newer MS-10838 rating dealer didn't have any in stock and I had already drained the old fluid out
After speaking to Penrite tech support and they said okay to use their PAS fluid which is MS-5931 and MS-9462 compliant
I understand that some oils rating get changed and that older ratings can still be used
No one seems to know for sure
Have already had a problem with my transfer case a site said use dex3 which destroyed the clutches in the transfer case
Don't want to destroy the power steering
dealer said 2 weeks to get the amount of power steering fluid in
