There is no cons to changing your fluid to the fuel effect line. its viscosity difference is so minor it only effects the fuel economy. Protection is still very similar.


So, looks like it'll be the FE for me.

I'll probably do the conversion some time this summer. Not for sure at the moment, though.

Bump: Just an update that I order the Fuel-Efficient ATF from Amsoil this morning. I'll be doing the 3 x Drain & Fill conversion method in the next few weeks and post observations.

Awesome. I do a drain and fill with DW1 on my wifes CRV every 30K. The book calls for 15K..which is a little too soon considering the fluid coming out looks new.

UPDATE: Just swapped to Amsoil's Fuel-Efficient ATF for the '07 Fit just at 166k miles and immediately the shifting is a lot more smooth. I also replaced the A/T inline filter which is underneath the battery.

Initial impressions: This is a great DW-1 replacement fluid.
