04 Tahoe with hydroboost- which PS fluid?

04 Tahoe 5.3 with hydroboost- Just wanted to know if there are any alternatives to the power steering fluid listed in the owners manual (ACdelco 19329450). I just had a new hydroboost installed and the mechanic told me he put AutoZone brand in the reservoir. What would you guys use instead?

Any power steering fluid that says it's for GM vehicles, including the Autozone brand stuff.

Most anything that says power steering fluid is the gm spec. Basically uncolored dexron. Don't buy the stuff with stopleak in it.

I ran Dex 6 in my 05 Silverado. The PS on it never worked well due to the undersized pump (they used same pump on the heavier diesel trucks as the gas engine) even with a new power valve it was marginal and Full Synthetic PS fluid was crazy expensive.
