Castrol didn't win at all. The Amsoil product went over twice as long (10.4K miles) and it's additive package held its own.

5 quarts of Castro and a filter was like 35 bucks. Who's paying 10.00 per quart?

I changed out at 5k due to an issue with radiator and was afraid i overheated the car.

Coming up to the next oil change. Currently i have Amsoil AZO 0w-30 in it. OCI will be 7,500, and not a darn mile longer.

I will post results.

When my #2 OCI was due I could not find that a synthetic 0w20 locally for less than the high 9's per qt with NO coupon. There were no jugs of that flavor to be seen. The Edge with Ti was supposedly a REAL synthetic with LL capability. I ruined that sump of decent oil by adding in a 1/3 bottle LubroMoly Engine Treatment and had to dump the sump due to mechanical engine knocking and poor running. The poor honda engine is still not 100%. I suppose AZ and other fake part stores has a filter and oil deal and coupons now and then. I'm not a coupon guy - though I did a rebate once for Mobil 1 AFE 5w30 back when it was a real synthtic oil
