Success! I swapped the radio fuse to the popped cig fuse and now the right 12v plugs heats up the lighter and the driver's side plug works only with non lighter items....I plugged in a spotlight and it is charging.

Also, i have no engine codes. But something odd happened. When I had the obd2 reader plugged in it cycled between French, Spanish and English and then my trip meter reset to zero.

But now i have a belt squeal. I doused under the hood with PB blaster, wd40 and no touch tire foam spray and also put a dab of grease on both sides of the belt. Sure hope it goes away.

Nick...............shift lights are rediculous

Also, are these trucks metric, SAE or a mixture?
Oooh lol I thought you hated that it didn't have one.

You'll have to take each individual bolt off and get it tested if it's metric or not, I just changed the caliper bolts in my grandmas 2002 Trailblazer and the bolts were metric. Was pretty annoyed.

Tires and wheels I would check craigs list daily they always have deals.

Plugs iridium's always are nice for that engine. A little antiseize.

Wires don't really matter have been thru everything from factory tayor 409, MSD as long as they don't touch exhaust manifold they all work fine.

Not yet.

I just got about three miles from home and got hit with an engine light, reduced engine power display and had to do 10-20mph back home.

Off to google, hoping its something i can fix
P1516
P1516Pd

Apparently it is not a problem with a popped CIG fuse. It ran no problem 250 miles without the fuse, but i replaced it and got down the road and this, so it seems if i cant figure this out i could possibly remove that fuse and live without power ports.

The K&N pics are before and after oiling, I tried to be stingy with the oil as i have over oiled in the past. I oil it on about 3 separate occasions and used all i had in the oil can and it still isnt red, but it'll have to do. I have it put away if i decide to use it in the future.

Also, here are some more photos after i have spent some time, detailing the bay.

Still working on the 1516 and 1516Pd codes and did an oil change. Got a big surprise while under the vehicle. The transmission had a sticker saying to only use Castrol syntorque LT or serios damage will occur, but i already ordered a gallon of MT-85...

You could plumb in a fused wire and make your own power ports.

That is for the Engine Oil Cooler. Works similar to an ATF in-rad cooler. Only the 6.0 HD's have this but can be added in 1500's since all the LS engines have oil cooler ports but are blocked off in non HD trucks. I was planning to do this mod but the oil cooler lines won't fit for some reason.

Got the brakes bled today and washed yesterday with RainX with carnauba beads. The surface feels rough and i dont want to over-exert myself, but does this sound good?: wash, let air dry, clay bar with instant detailer, wax on, then wax off. Is it okay to skip the drying stage and the after clay wash.

Ive ran probably 2-3 quarts of PSF siphon/refill, and broke down and got a deal on a gallon of it. I cant quite tell i its had ATF as i "thought" i saw a red tinge to it, but it is still almost pitch. The clutch cylinder keeps looking like mud/rust after a few days of driving, so Ill keep up with exchanging that until it stays clear.

Am ready to grease the 11 alamites, change the plugs/wireset (AC Delco iridiums/ delco wires). They were expensive but said to last 100,000 or more miles. Aswer me this, they are 41-110 as i think GM back specced em to iridiums, but none of the parts house search engines show them as right for my truck, even Amazon said they wont fit,but I saw on GM-Trucks.com that they are correct.

Anyways, I got the cab and engine bay CLP to my liking, next is underbody with alot of chassis grease, WD40, Kroil, and kerosene to try and get it in, not quite show car condition, but well preserved.

The plugs I put in my Silverado were 41-110. Mine is a 4.8 so I don't know if the 6.0 use a different plug.

I only got the driver's side half/4 done before I ram out of steam.

Can anyone tell if these are factory? 167,000 miles

NGK PZTR5A-15
AC Delco 12567759

They have dual/both markings on the plug. I had heard NGK made my AC delcos for my Saturn, but have never seen both. These that came out say Assembled in USA of Japanese parts, but the new 41-110 say assembled in USA of Japanese AND USA parts. A joint venture I guess.
