Wondering. Brakes have that tell-tale sound of pads getting thin, but when I press on the breakes, sound goes away. I had thought that the wear indicator would always squeak when pressing or not pressing the breaks. It's a high pitched squeak and not coming from the bearings. It's also not all the time....just irks me. Breaks are not new, but truck doesn't have a lot of miles on them but I do tow the boat and seadoo with it.

could be they just need cleaned up they are crusty/sticking a little bit.... or they could be worn down.

Pop off a tire and inspect

+1 this ^^

If the pads are ok then maybe you need some brake lube on the back of the pads and pins.
