Mahle now selling oil filters made in China ?

Sounds like the media may not have changed in 5 years. This is the most recent thread on it and it mentions the synthetic media. https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/threads/efficiency-of-mahle-filters.323446/

Mahle now selling oil filters made in China ?

I liked the build of the filter I currently have in service, it looked perfect. So, got another one and they'll be lifetime replaced with FCP. However, not super thrilled about this one, pleats ended up at an angle. Anyone have up to date efficiency numbers for Mahle? From their website...

Free lifetime oil change. FCP Euro.

Got my first credits today - $120 for ATF, wipers, and a cabin filter. Question - if you order over $49 in parts with credit do they still ship for free?

High Performance Lubricants No VII series engine oils.

It's because oxygen is a component of an ester group. So the ester oils are inherently oxidized to some extent. Just not the bad kind of oxidized. 😄

LiquiMoly Engine Flush - any improvement for rings/oil consumption

I tried the straight to HPL approach with my VR6 and just ended up burning a lot of expensive HPL oil. Wish I had gone straight to the piston soak - which I did later and so far have zero oil consumption after. Now running HPL to keep the rings clean from here on out. I would just do the piston...

    Mid-OCI Filter Change w/HPL Oil

Figured updating in this thread is better than starting a new one. After my patience ran out with the oil consumption and the I did a piston soak as noted above. Well, it's been 1k mi since that and I'm happy to report the oil level has not dropped at all. Will continue to monitor.

Mobil 1 ESP Cleaning Ability/ BG EPR

I had a similar experience with my Buick. Ran EPR at the last oil change, and oil was clean after 1k mi when it would usually look dark. Now after 5k it looks like used oil, but not like it would have previously.

LSJr. The TRUTH About Valvoline's BOLD Engine Cleaning Claims

Since this has digressed. Not sure how much help this is, but this sounds like a total organic carbon problem. Naturally occurring bacteria have enough food to consume all the available oxygen in the aquifer you're tapped into. Once the dissolved oxygen is gone, they go looking for other sources...

Anyone Using HPL Green in a Toyota WS Application?

Which part? When I had a Prius it was often that I logged vitals with a OBD2 dongle and the Torque app. It took at least 30min or more of highway driving for the transaxle temperatures to plateau. Wish I still had some screenshots to share. Otherwise, I just considered the available data -...

Anyone Using HPL Green in a Toyota WS Application?

Anyone Using HPL Green in a Toyota WS Application?

Are you indicating that the ATF in a Prius eCVT is in contact with the hybrid electrics? That has been debated ad nauseum in Prius forums and elsewhere. If you watch here there are less electrical components here than in a traditional automatic transmission. The gearbox holding the lubricant is...

Anyone Using HPL Green in a Toyota WS Application?

Prius eCVT is a single planetary set, differential, no clutches, no valves, no gear changing, and water cooled. If it were mine, I'd go ATF Green CC and forget about it for at least 100k mi. It's not very demanding on the lubricant.
