Im assuming those of you responding with oil extractor are suggesting I just go ahead and change the oil with an extractor?

Resale is much worse with the Mazda, BUT you can get them highly discounted. Around here I can get $5 to $6k off sticker. If you are going to drive it less than 3 years, get the Honda. If you are going to drive it until the wheels fall off, it doesn't matter.

The Mazda 4 cylinder has a 5 speed auto and the v6 has a nice 6 speed auto.
