    I always cross reference helmets between ECE, Snell and SHARP. I always try to get the one with the highest SHARP rating, no lower than four stars as I only use it for track use.

    30W Oil Suitable For Wet Clutch

    When I stripped the engine someone had put a really thick transmission oil in it, the stuff was like treacle. I'll be using Motul 300V 5W30 Road Racing oil. The manual just specifies SAE30 engine oil, I would think that the Motul is better than the 70's/80's oil I used in it 40 years ago.

    Thanks for the input everyone. I'll probably go with the Motul, I was planning on using their racing two stroke oil in the premix and I already use their 10W40 in a Ducati single I race and am very happy with it.

    All the manual says is SAE30 motor oil. As I said I used Castrolite when I had the bike in the '80's, I think it was SAE 10w-30w.

    I'm looking for a straight 30W oil (preferably synthetic) that can be used in a motorcycle transmission with a wet clutch. The engine is an early 80's Rotax two stroke and the manual calls for an engine oil of this type. I had this bike during the 80's in the UK and used 30W Castrolite in it but...
