Engine Oil Assistance for 2002 Jeep KJ 3.7L

Ok, thanks for the input. The other one I was thinking of was this Mobil 1 ESP https://www.mobil.com/en/lubricants/for-personal-vehicles/our-products/products/mobil-1-esp-5w-30/ I suppose they're comparable quality-wise so I guess whichever costs less make sense.

Engine Oil Assistance for 2002 Jeep KJ 3.7L

Yes on the Castrol Europe website it does list the difference now that I look at it closely... https://www.castrol.com/it_it/italy/home/car-engine-oil-and-fluids/engine-oils/engine-oil-brands/castrol-edge-brand/castrol-edge.html#tab_5w-30-ll I mean I can read the differences on there but I...

Engine Oil Assistance for 2002 Jeep KJ 3.7L

That's the thing though, even if I say Castrol Edge 5w30, there's a "series" C1, C3, LL, and M to choose from. They're European designations I think but I can't figure out the real difference.

Engine Oil Assistance for 2002 Jeep KJ 3.7L

I've spent way too long online trying to figure out which 5w-30 engine oil I should use for my 2002 Jeep KJ 3.7L V6 here in Italy. I need some help/perspective please. So far I've found recommendations for Mobil 1 High Mileage (which I can't find for Europe), Mobil 1 ESP, Castrol Edge, Castrol...

Oil Filter Help - 2002 Jeep KJ Liberty/Cherokee

Yeah that's what I was thinking too ultimately, I'm probably making too much out of this. Even though, the aftermarket filters specified for the car have differing bypass valve specs, from 0,5 bar to 1,6. That's why I was also wondering whether given the age of the engine and the fact that the...

Oil Filter Help - 2002 Jeep KJ Liberty/Cherokee

Yeah I'm leaning towards the WL7077 as well. I just wanted to confirm the bypass relief valve pressure for it since on their site they list 51516 and 51516XP as the corresponding part number, not 51315. I sent Wix and Wix Europe an email to clarify, hopefully they respond...

Oil Filter Help - 2002 Jeep KJ Liberty/Cherokee

There are, yes. I think the issue is the age of the car and the rarity of the 3.7L engine here, with the most common being either diesel or the 2.4L. Plus Jeeps really didn't start becoming popular here until relatively recently; you'll see lots of Renegades for example but not many of these...

Oil Filter Help - 2002 Jeep KJ Liberty/Cherokee

I'm looking for the right oil filter for my 2002 Jeep KJ (Liberty/Cherokee) 3.7L V6. Not sure when was the last time the oil and filter were changed (previous owner was family member who wasn't great with maintenance) so I'm guessing it's been longer than it should have. The original oil...
