I always suspected that the auto industry, to keep sales strong, was recommending inferior oils so that engines would wear out faster...I knew those Eastern European folks would figure out a solution! Bravo...🥴

Thanks everyone for all your input! Consensus from the w212 amg forums is that these engines do burn a little oil, mine used less than 1 quart in 5,400 miles, so I'm doing well there ...I think. No piston slap or other funny noises, I always let the oil get up to the recommended 175 degrees...
