    Mobil 1 Marketing Material

That only leaves 49 states, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, and the rest of the world where it’s “Mobil” 1. ;)

    0w-8 has gone mainstream. M1 AFE 0w-8.

You mean like the Mobil 1 0w-40 I’ve been using for the last 150,000 (trouble free) miles ? Z

    "Best" FCPEuro A40 / C40 Oil

The only women that looked twice at what I was driving were all ga-ga over one of my Jaguar e types back in the 1970’s, early ‘80’s. Aside from those occurrences, you are right, it’s all man love for exotic cars. PS: But I do hear that cowgirls are really fond of old trucks. Z

    "Best" FCPEuro A40 / C40 Oil

My dear departed brother owned a 911 Turbo. He would agree 100% with that statement, and laugh . PS: yes. He died in the 911 too.

Euro oil choices for an engine with higher than normal operating temperatures.

my ‘02 XKR came with a factory equipped external oil cooler with its own thermostat. Which begins to open 217 F and doesn’t fully open until 246F. So Jaguar must not be too concerned with oil temperatures that I was thinking were too high. Oil capacity is 7.5 liters, nearly 8 quarts. A goodly...

Euro oil choices for an engine with higher than normal operating temperatures.

I used to consider the oil temp of my 2002 Jaguar XKR to be on the high side, as it would get up to 235-240 F when stuck in traffic during the hottest summer days. But it would always come down to 220-230 at highway speeds of 70-90 mph. But after reading some of these posts, I’m reassured that...

Is buying Oil on Amazon safe?

C’mon fellows. Bezos needs the money. You know he had to drop a billion $$$ on wife to get her to go away. And who hasn’t had to do that ? Z PS: but her replacement, sheesh ! Maybe she has qualities that don’t show in a photo.

Is buying Oil on Amazon safe?

I buy Mobil 1 oil all the time on Amazon, as well as Shell 134 A/T fluid, Techron, and many other automotive products. Delivery takes 1-2 days ad never an issue with getting a different product than ordered.

Why/ why not run oil level at MIN?

Why stop at the minimum ? Just put enough oil in to cover the oil pick up tube in the oil pan ;) PS: : real answer : the more oil you have the cooler it will be. Fill to maximum level, a 1/4” more wouldn’t hurt anything. Z

    New F150 5.0 Break-in

People want a lightweight engine with an aluminum block, then complain when it’s noisier than an old iron block engine. People worry too much about nothing, and not at all about life or death matters. If being angry wasn’t so much work, I’d be an angry old man instead of the sweet old...

    New Mobil 1 C40 GT 0W-40

my trust and / or confidence in corporate truthfulness is not at an all time high. The additive package in so-called racing oils may be touted as being good for 5,000 miles. Thats their position. “Good” is a word that can be stretched. My position is to use a quality synthetic oil designed...

Those with 150,000 miles or more, check in

I never considered high mileage to be anything under 250,000 until I started paying attention to the internet. Online, older cars from the 1950’s-1960’s get a lot of bad press saying they were worn out at 100,000. No one I knew in those decades would even consider getting a newer car before...

Those with 150,000 miles or more, check in

An older in-law of mine had a hip replacement some years ago. And had the usual 6 months of physical therapy afterwards. But it never felt “right” and she felt something was wrong, but being a big raw boned Texas woman she didn’t want to be labeled a complainer. Sure enough, it wasn’t but a few...

    New Mobil 1 C40 GT 0W-40

Somehow there’s a rush to “racing oils” in street cars by some folks. I’m sure they are well meaning, just uninformed. Z

Do you really need to change oil annually, if driven only 1000 miles a year?

3 in 1 oil That’s what I can call Mobil1 0w.-40 I use it in machines that were manufactured 50+ years apart. ‘60’s era Fords & Shelby’s, 2000’s era Jaguars, and my Honda lawnmower, age about 13 years old . Z

Do you really need to change oil annually, if driven only 1000 miles a year?

Way outside the box thinking ! But I (perhaps singularly) like it. It’s a way to make sure there are no unintended consequences in leaving the oil to sit for 5 years, yet not waste the oil or $$$ by disposing of it prematurely. I want you to lead the team figuring out how to: A) achieve...

Those with 150,000 miles or more, check in

Oops !!! My age is showing. Make that 186,700 total mileage, not 176,700, & 70,700 enjoyable miles under my ownership, not 60,700. Man, time flies when you’re behind the wheel. ;) At least I got the make, model, and YOM right. Z
