Walmart Everstart Maxx batteries coming with thicker battery posts now?

My Toyota vehicles are both like your Hondas. Negative terminal is larger than the post, by a hair, so after time it can't clamp down all the way. I'm stoked. I no longer have to hang my head in shame when the techs at the shop make fun of my super janky lame-o shims. It can be pretty scary...

Washington State. I've always been able to get the JC ones. Serial numbers show JC

Walmart Everstart Maxx batteries coming with thicker battery posts now?

Just picked up a fresh, made in 12/22, 24F Everstart Maxx car battery. I've got a few different sizes types of this brand and they all had narrow battery terminal posts, requiring me to shim both my truck and van to make the clamps hold on. The new one has meaty, chunky, beefy, thick battery...

Which battery to buy from walmart lineup? - Best Value?

I have a Maxx Johnson Control battery in my van that is over 5 years old and starts up like a champ every time.

Is it possible my auto trans puts higher oil pressure into the cooler lines in overdrive?

Not sure what tranny model it is. Tech said it was clearly coming from the hard line fitting. But ATF when warmed up can be very tricky to see sometimes until it collects someplace. Can an auto trans overheat like that on a 5-6 mile drive?

Is it possible my auto trans puts higher oil pressure into the cooler lines in overdrive?

1993 Toyota Pickup 2.4L 2WD Xcab DLX AT Good questions about if the repair was done correctly. They've been having a bit of turnover at the auto shop with techs lately, so work is getting more hit and miss, where as it was 100% done right and perfect every time for many years prior. I was...

    Your Favorite Canned Man Food

I just discovered a new form of "fish crack" This stuff is pretty crazy good. In fact, I dare anyone to eat just one can and not go all hungry hungry hippos on the remaining cans within the remaining hours of the day...

Is it possible my auto trans puts higher oil pressure into the cooler lines in overdrive?

I've got an old Toyota pickup that's been leaking ATF out of one of the fittings for my oil cooler hard lines going to the radiator. Seems to only happen after highway driving and letting the tranny go into overdrive. I just did a highway test with OD turned off and it does not appear to be...

    Someone didn't plan correctly

I've got a lot of fishing buddies who are ye-haw truck dudes. Literally not one of them has driven out of state in at least 10 years, they always fly. Heck if they even drive more than 100miles ever. The most common complaint about EV is how they hate the idea of recharging on all those...

    Photo I got of a consumer-owned real-world Rivian R1T yesterday.

How about that, eh? I thought these were going to be vapor-ware when they were announced. Beat the Tesla to the market and looks like a real, decent vehicle. I absolutely REFUSE TO TELL ANYONE WHERE THIS PHOTO WAS TAKEN!!! so please don't even ask... OPSEC and all... ;) Oh, and this thing...

This by far is one of the worst YouTube videos I have ever seen

Have to give him credit for finding "some" way to gain viewers on Youtube. He's gained like 30K in the last year I think. Kind of sad to think of how much money I could be making in life if I was a greedy and dishonest POS. There's good money in pandering to idiots. And it clearly doesn't take...

This by far is one of the worst YouTube videos I have ever seen

From two different vehicles with no proof of how many miles are on each one? Good grief. This guy gets clowned on because he is dishonest and putting out clickbait BS, not because of any of his other attributes. While he might have a legitimate message about types of fluids in the trannies, his...

Unintended harm of subsidizing electric cars

I can agree with that. I see EVs all over the place in the town I work at, driven by people who have insane amounts of disposable income and hardly even flinch at the cost of what they want in a car. Regular folks on a budget are not quite in the wheelhouse of EV prices, even when subsidized...

Unintended harm of subsidizing electric cars

Who would get that from Walmart? Everyone knows the best degrees are purchased at Costco, assuming you need a twelve-pack of degrees. ;) I think some people are just salty that BITOG will have to change to a new URL in a few years, BobIsTheBatteryGuy,com

    Bad Experiences with Maxlife ATF?

Bad smell. That's the worst of it. Works like a total champ in a ridiculous number of Toyota transmissions. My '93 pickup takes the same MaxLife ATF as my 2002 Sienna. Combined, the two vehicles have over 550K miles on them. I honestly trust MaxLife being universal, but also a full synthetic...

    "Mid-grade" Fuel

I've been buying mostly mid-89 grade for the last 25 years. Only bad tanks I ever got were from Arco. I swear they just drain their bathroom urinals into the gas tanks there. Truck would hardly idle on their gas, just about every time I filled up, even at different locations. I did try running...

    Onions, garlic and leeks

I've recently discovered that raw garlic takes away 90+% of my back and knee pain the day after eating a whole raw clove. I have no idea how this happens, but it works consistently. Unlikely to be placebo effect for several reasons: first being that I never got a placebo effect from the...

Ford Says Electric F-150 Will Start Under $40,000. It Can Also Power Your Home

Edit: Ford did a brilliant job with their f-150 Lightning marketing ads. They are really hammering it in how useful an EV truck is for doing hard labor work. It's being advertised more like a cordless power drill that can smash through anything like Chuck Norris. This is 100% the right thing to...

    Ford Everest

Everest? That's not the majestic name it used to be... It's now synonymous with rich ego-maniacs spending huge sums of money for poor people to carry their trash to the top of a mountain peak and leave it all there. Or, maybe Ford knew this and is exactly the image they were shooting for...

    Fuel shortage

Might be staged. If it's a Photoshop, it's a really good one. But then again, people are always coming out with new, innovative, weapons-grade idiocy each year, so this isn't too shocking, IMO.
