Super tech full synthetic HM versus Mobil1 HM 5w-30

I have never seen that here before. My understanding is that Warren makes a good synthetic oil. You’re saying that they are using used oil that is cleaned and refined as a base stock? I’ve seen multiple good oil analysis of ST synthetic on this site.

Nissan latest - Asking suppliers to pause payments..

I understand that they cancelled the Versa, which is exactly the kind of affordable car you are talking about. I had. Rental for a week, and it wasn’t too bad for a basic car.

    Air compressors

What makes a compressor explode? Rusty tank? Wouldn’t it get pinhole leaks first? I always drain mine, is there anything else that needs to be done? Scary to see the force of that explosion.

    5.7 Hemi spark plug question

The factory recommended is copper core every 30K miles for my 2006 5.7. I’m not sure if better plugs would extend the intervals. Must be a reason that the factory recommended what they did. Newer 5.7 have different cylinder heads, so the rec might be different.

Who knew? Amazon "NewParts" is Rockauto?

I wonder if the brick and mortar parts stores have decided to live on the professional shops who need parts deliveries daily. Even with the discounts the shops get, it’s steady business. If a retail customer pays retail, it’s frosting on the cake. I want to support my local stores but they are...

    Backing into parking spaces

My work requires us to back into the parking space for safety reasons. I have authority issues and resent being told how to park.

lowering tire pressure to ~20 PSI for beach?

What are you running 75 psi in? That seems high to me. Street vehicles are usually around 30-35psi.

    Carmaker Nissan on borrowed time?

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1992-nissan-sentra-se-r-9/ This is like the one I had. I put just under 200K miles on that car, sold it to a friend, and he sold it with 300K, still running fine.

    Carmaker Nissan on borrowed time?

I beg to differ. I had a 1992 SE-R and it was awesome. 7K rpm redline. Suspension was near perfect and some of the best sport seats ever made. Car and Driver agreed making it a multiple time 10 best winner. Smooth manual transmission and not offered with an automatic ( as it should be with...

    Carmaker Nissan on borrowed time?

Nissan used to make some great vehicles. Maxima SE, Sentra SE-R, and Infiniti was supposed to be a sportier Lexus. Sad.
