Newer Amsoil Extended Life 10W30 UOA

I am sure my post hurts Amsoil I am not an advocate for Amsoil nor a dealer. Its a simple post like the other million UAO on here. Have a blessed day.

Newer Amsoil Extended Life 10W30 UOA

Its a cut and paste from an ICO article. I am not in Tribology but the Author is. Again, no need to argue. Maybe you are right. Its just another VOA. Maybe you can do one for use and show us the exact PPM and explain any additives? Dude...chill out.

Not going ti debate here. The additive pack is shown in every oil analysis. The accuracy is questionable but it does tell me if things are on the higher side IF one wanted a longer drain interval. Moly also tells me older Moly vs TRI.

Most of us know that. "Cheap" still gives us a good ballpark PPM of additives.

My guess is the Moly and Boron is not as high. Does that make a difference I am not sure. However there is different quality levels of Boron and Moly.

Amsoil changed the XL to Extended Life. Looks much closer to SS and rated for 20,000. Good shot of Moly and Boron.

UOA Valvoline EP 5W30 vs Amsoil SS 5W30 1.6LT

Decision is after many, many UOAs I have done over a 4 to 5 k run any decent oil will provide good results. I also now know Amsoil is not the worth the money in shorter runs. I would never do long runs anyway. CAFE is not getting me :)

UOA Valvoline EP 5W30 vs Amsoil SS 5W30 1.6LT

Well, if I did 50 back to back with same two products my guess is results would be the same. Which means using Valvoline EP would save me $54 every 4100 miles.

UOA Valvoline EP 5W30 vs Amsoil SS 5W30 1.6LT

Report says 5100 miles on Valvoline EP but that's a typo it was 4100. I will be sticking with Valvoline EP on 5k runs.
