Which domestic 3-row crossover would last the longest?

My only issue with the Dodge is how badly, and quickly, Dodge vehicles rust. My 09 Camry with twice the miles has WAY less rust than my ‘14 Chrysler Town and Country. RAM trucks look great for 5 years, then lose the rockers and wheel arches. This is a central IA and no where near as bad for...

    We Bought a 2024 Odyssey

Thanks for posting on this. We have 3 littles left at home (10 to 4) of the 7 kids we have. Our current Chrysler van will be my last one between the problems with this one, and the problems I read and hear about with Pacificas. It’s my 4th Chrysler van with the 95 being junk, the 02 being...

    Any Ghost Stories?

We were the first non family owners of a farmhouse in Collins, IA. The day we moved in, the last daughter to have grown up there told us not to worry about any spirits living in there, as they are nice. We shrugged it off being Jesus believing Christians. 2 days after moving in the basement...

Rental on a machine shed In SW Iowa?

I think Iowa State University has some rental schedules for things like this. I can’t look for it now, but it’s worth Googling it. We rented our machine shed in IL by the square foot, but I don’t recall what that was, plus it was 20 years ago….Good luck.

The cost of living in 2024....

I have 3 adult sons, 2 yet that are children Son #1 went to university on his own dime (loans) because he made decisions that caused him to lose my willingness to foot half the bill. He graduated with debt and has a job he hates. He also doesn’t make enough to be able to afford owning a house...

    Oil usage in newer cars

My ‘19 Rogue surprised me once. After it sat for about a month due to me getting a new job with a company vehicle, I took it on a 3 hour drive. It used half a quart on that 6 hour combined trip. It’s never used a drop since. Our Rogue with 150,000 miles never used a drop either, nor does my 14...

    Post your latest oil change

2014 Chrysler Town and Country 119,322 miles 4774 miles on the oil change. Would have waited for 5000, but the wind is too terrible to work outside, so it became a garage day. Out: Valvoline Max-Life 5w-30 Mopar Filter In: Valvoline Max-Life 5w-30 Purolater Blue filter I also...

Pick one car if you had to made it last the rest of your life.

My 2014 Town and Country will probably be that vehicle…new vehicles are way too expensive!

    Bait and switch or not?

I was able to knock down the price on my last purchase due to them pricing it wrong on 3 websites. Got up to walk and they honored the price. I had all three websites up on my phone to show them. They claimed clerical error. A farmer truck shopping has asked about a very similar issue on an Ag...

Any of you ever lose the "love" for your hobby?

Yes! I’m pretty much done doing much more than basic maintenance on our cars. I’ll do an exhaust on my daughter’s Camry as a last hurrah. My knees and lower back can’t take it anymore. Not wanting to do an engine swap is why I sold my YJ, but it took my wife pointing out how fruitful my...

Is it harder to maintain lane center the older you get?

My F150 is the vehicle I struggle with. My Rogue, no problem, but the F150 is my daily driver!

Is it harder to maintain lane center the older you get?

Lane centering isn’t an issue, but I can’t seem to park worth a darn anymore. I’m either too close to one side or the other, if there is no car next to me.

    Best years of jeep wangler

I had to daily drive my YJ here and there as my normal daily driver was borrowed by family members. Always seemed like that would be the hottest week of the year regardless if it was March or August. I firmly believe you can’t have a bad day when you drive a Jeep, as they are that much fun...

Thoughts and opinions on 2012 beetle 2.0tsi

We had an 02 in the family and it was the biggest POS I ever owned. Electrical gremlins were its demise. The trans shifted very rough as well. Only had 106k miles on it but drove like it had the 251k my Camry has, which still drives like new. I sold it and didn’t even glance back as it left.

Vehicle recommendation for the war zone use

Thanks for what you are doing....my family is also from Ukraine, 2 generations ago. There is a farmer on AgTalk that is getting small 4x4 pickups from England and bringing them to Ukraine for hauling soldiers. I would think a Tacoma is the US equivalent and would serve you well. Finding one...
