    Hit 300k miles today

I've actually used a lot of 5w30 Supertech synthetic over the years. I was never very picky with the brand of oil I used, just the interval.

    Hit 300k miles today

Most OCI's were from 5000 to 7000. ATF spill and fill performed every 30k to 40k. I recently purchaced a 2016 Accord a couple months back as a replacement for the Altima. No current plans to replace the transmission.

    Hit 300k miles today

You are correct, very surprising out of a Nissan. No big surprise for a Toyota though. Good job on that one!! Is this the infamous Sequoia?

    Hit 300k miles today

No CVT on this one, just a 4 speed Jatco. Original alternator and water pump, believe it or not. I did replace the tensioner and pulley a couple times though. The first cat was also replace as a preventative maintenance around 200k. New fuel pump around 100k. A bit of new front end parts over...

    Hit 300k miles today

Finally hit my goal of 300k miles today on the 05 Altima. I have been looking forward to this milestone for some time now. Original 2.5 engine and transmission, however the transmission is on its last leg and has been slipping for the last 20k or so. My brother sold it to me in 2017 for almost...

    Made a rookie mistake

Yeah I said a few choice words myself when I heard what happened. I do recall the sound of the engine being a little different when she was leaving the driveway. I actually thought this was because I used 5w 30 instead of the usual 5w20.

Those with 150,000 miles or more, check in

    Made a rookie mistake

Forgot to re-install the oil cap after a quick change on the Daughter's 2013 Rav last night. She then took it on a four hour trip to Houston this morning and when she arrived someone noticed a drip on the driveway. The cap was replaced and from what I was told it was only a quart low and a bit...

What are you eating right now?

Spicy Ramen. I know it's not Ramen season but very tasty

    Oil change intervals

Your 5.7 holds 8.5 quarts, I wouldn't get too hung up on the 14k interval.

    Purchase Extended Warranty?

Agreed. We're talking about a Toyota here, save the $1600.

    Post your latest oil change

Just picked up a new to me 2016 Accord sport with 28,500 miles. Drained the unknown and replaced with 1 Qt Bel-Ray 5W20, 3.5 Qt's Amazon Basics 0W20 along with a Fram Ultra 7317. According to the Carfax, the last oil change was just performed at 28,400, but judging by the looks of the oil...

Those with 150,000 miles or more, check in

Little update on this Altima, just hit 285,000 mi and has developed a pretty good ATF leak. I really didn't want to do it, but added a quart of the Bars leak seal stuff. I'm still shooting for 300k, we'll see what the outcome is.

    Remote start

Recently Installed one from a company called 12 Volt Solutions out of Tulsa, OK. Very easy install, worth considering.

Those with 150,000 miles or more, check in

I had to chime in on this thread.. I've got a 2005 Nissan Altima 2.5 with about 232k miles. Considering the histories on these QR25 engines, I must have picked a solid one. Not too many folks can say that about these Nissans. Car is still running strong with no major failures experienced, yet...

    Got a 2016 Altima

My daily commuter is an 05 Altima, currently with 190,000 mi. This QR25 has had regular OCI's every 5 to 6k as well as regular ATF drain and fills every 30 to 40k. I put about 3,000 mi a month on it commuting to work. Hoping to get 300k + out of the car, although i believe the Jatco AT is the...
