    Kirkland Signature 0W-20, 9,196 miles, 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer 2.0L (4B11)

This was my first time running a Warren Distribution blend, resulting in another good, rather uninteresting report. While this engine seems to be pretty easy on oil, it took the 9k OCI like a champ.

Post your latest oil purchase or even filter.

Managed to grab an extra case of some Kirkland FS 0W-20 just before the price hike for the 5qt-2pk, as well as three FRAM TG7317s. I should be set for the next 18 months or so.

    Pennzoil Platinum 0W-20, 6,232 miles, 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer 2.0L (4B11)

This looks to be a pretty uninteresting report -- at least in a good way. I was slightly concerned with the large hills on many of my drives, along with the consistent 90° - 100°F days that occur over the summer. This report makes me feel better about using a 0W-20 given my conditions. I will...

Are there any Yokohama all season tires that are good in snow?

I had awful luck with my Yokohama Avid S34's as far as winter performance; there was one instance I couldn't even make it up my snowy driveway. With that said, I'm not naive enough to presume this means that all Yokohama tires are poor in the snow, but I certainly would suggest staying away from...

    Pennzoil Platinum 0W-20, 5,258 miles, 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer 2.0L (4B11)

No surprises in this report. I will feel completely comfortable extended the OCI to 8,000mi/1yr now that powertrain warranty has expired (at 60,000mi) and the Pennzoil Platinum 0W20 seems to be playing well with my 4B11. I recently moved from Chicago to Nashville, and filled the engine back up...

    Summer gas?

I'm not sure about on a state-to-state basis, but gasoline retailers are federally mandated to be selling summer-blend gasoline from May 1 to September 15.

Dark Specks on Dipstick after Fresh Oil Change?

Dark Specks on Dipstick after Fresh Oil Change?

You would be correct on the Pennzoil. I tried my best to give it a good shake before the fill, but it certainly could be the case that I didn't shake it enough, which would point to them being additives like you said. End of the day, looks like the consensus it to not worry about it regardless...

Dark Specks on Dipstick after Fresh Oil Change?

Recently changed the oil in my car and have driven about 10 miles on the new oil. After letting the vehicle cool, when I first check the dipstick there appears to some dark specks clinging to the dipstick within the oil. (See pictures) This has happened both times I've checked after the oil...
